Jaguar XK120 Roadster at Barons' Auction
Would you love to own a 1954 Jaguar XK120 Roadster?
Would you love to own a 1954 Jaguar XK120 Roadster? If so, bid for one at Barons' Jaguar Heritage + Sports and Prestige Cars Auction on May 29th 2012. Just head for the Sandown Park Exhibition Complex. This restored left-hand-drive beauty looks remarkable with its white paintwork, and is estimated to sell for between £45,000 and £55,000. Or, how about a 1996 Daimler Double Six? Barons reveal it has covered 26,000 miles and has only had one owner. No, not me. This is estimated to sell for between £4,000 and £6,000.But what about something less sedate? Here we find the 1996 Porsche 911 (993) finished in vibrant blue. The estimate is £23,000 to £26,000, which is family hatchback territory. Or, slide into a French registered 2001 MG TF. Yes, it has left-hand-drive – but the compensation is that it is estimated to sell for between £2,000 to £3,000. That is temptingly cheap. Provisional entries, at the time of writing of course, include the 1969 Lotus Elan S4 SE DHC and the 1970 Porsche 911T 2.2. These playthings are estimated to sell for £19,000 to £23,000 and £19,000 and £22,000, respectively. Very nice, but who could resist that Jaguar XK120? This poses an interesting question. Where can I find a big pile of cash?
