Kia has confirmed their new high performance models will go on sale across Europe mid year. The new three door Kia procee’d GT and the five door Kia cee’d GT are set to stand out from their sister models with unique features and outstanding performance targets.
The two new models will be powered by a new version of Kia’s 1.6 litre Gasoline Direct Injection petrol engine which is equipped with a twin scroll turbocharger and strengthened internal components, these hot hatches will be capable of 0-62mph in just 7.9 seconds. The exterior of these performance models are distinguished by pairs of jewel like four point LED daytime running lights together with new grilles and lamp clusters, deeper bumpers and unique 18” alloy wheels. Special paint finishes and red brake calipers complete the sporty look. The interior is equally impressive with the addition of Recaro sports seats, alloy pedals and bespoke surface materials.
Before the arrival of the hot hatch GT models there is the new version of the Kia Procee’d. This new model could easily turn into a rival for coupes such as the Volkswagen Scirocco, order books opened only last week for the latest Scirocco model the ‘Volkswagen Scirocco GTS’ which boasts a unique specification including a pair of broad strips running the length of the car from front to rear. The latest Kia Procee’d is really the Kia Cee’d but with three doors. It will be on sale this spring so not long to wait. The new look is quite dramatic boasting a swooping roofline and sculpted lines along the sides of the car with extra chrome linking the front grille and headlights which gives it a very modern sporty look. The interior is identical to the Cee’d but will be available with plenty of sportier options for the trims and seats. The new three door hatchback is reported to be priced from approximately £16,000. It is always worth remembering Kia also provide their seven-Year Kia Warranty which is simply the ‘longest and best’ warranty available on any car, anywhere in Europe. Clearly, a longer warranty is a better warranty and gives every Kia owner not just enjoyable motoring but genuine long-term peace of mind.
For the past few years, Kia has been one of the fastest-growing global automotive brands and was recently named ‘Best Manufacturer 2012’ there is a strong possibility that this award could be repeated for the year 2013.
