The new Kia Picanto has done a hat trick by being named ‘Best Small Car’ by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers at their Car of the Year Awards in Glasgow. The new Kia Picanto recently won in the supermini segment at the What Car? Green Awards and the Northern Group of Motoring Writers Car of the Year accolade.
The five door Kia Picanto was launched in June has been joined recently by the three door version. The Kia Picanto is available with two economical petrol engines; the 1.1 three cylinder Kappa and the more powerful 1.25 litre four cylinder alternative. All versions have electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) to apportion stopping effort to the wheels with most traction, and emergency brake assist system (BAS), ensuring maximum stopping power regardless of the pressure applied to the pedal by the driver.
Prices start from £7795 and due to the 99g/km co2 emissions VED and congestion charge is exempt.
