Kia aim to raise £120,000 for the charity
Kia is supporting Red Nose Day for the third year running and hope to raise in excess of £120,000. Events have been planned at local dealers across the country and Kia are encouraging customers to visit their local dealerships and ‘Do something funny for Money’ to support Comic Relief.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO, Kia Motors UK said “to be supporting Red Nose Day for the third time is a real honour. The support that we receive from our dealers and customers is always a great boost, and to know that the money we raise goes to help those in need both here in the UK and in Africa is even more of an incentive.”
Red Nose Day marks its 25th anniversary this year and since its launch the special day has raised over £600m and helped to change lives both in the UK and Africa. The Kia dealer network will be turning an old trade-in vehicle into something special enough to auction. ‘Pimp My Part-Ex’ will see the service departments working hand-in-hand with the sales team to turn a beast into a beauty, ready for auction on 5th March in conjunction with Comic Relief and British Car Auctions (BCA).

Another model to look out for is the new addition to the ‘Soul’ range the ‘Soul Shaker’ it is powered by a 1.6 CRDi 126bhp turbo-diesel engine that is capable of 0-60mph in only 10.3 seconds and goes on to a top speed of 112mph. Co2 emissions are only 129g/km which puts the ‘Shaker’ in Band D for road tax and fuel economy is equally impressive returning 57.6mpg. The Soul ‘Shaker’ is priced from £15,295 for the 1.6 GDi version. The diesel version is priced at £16,690 and is also available as an automatic for £17,795.
