Mark Webber took pole position for the Korean Grand Prix, narrowly beating his team-mate, Sebastian Vettel.The German driver looked to have the speed to take the top spot, but Webber rose to the challenge late on in Q3 to post a time of 1:37.242. Lewis Hamilton took third, which was lucky considering he nearly didn’t make it out of Q1. Fernando Alonso, who was looking to get back on track with leading the Championship after his disastrous race in Japan last time out, was behind the McLaren. Hamilton’s team-mate, Jenson Button had a qualifying session to forget, as he failed to make it into Q3. Michael Schumacher took 10th, just behind his fellow German Nico Rosberg. The team were fined €10,000 for releasing Rosberg into the path of Hamilton in the pits, the Briton narrowly avoiding an accident. The on form team, Sauber team failed to make it into the top ten and Sergio Perez and Kamui Kobayashi will line up in 12th and 13th. Kimi Raikkonen, in 5th will be looking to keep his championship dreams alive, as the other Lotus Renault of Romain Grosjean in 7th, will be looking to keep his head down and avoid anymore incidents.
