Lamborghini Aventador Breaks the Bank
The Lamborghini Aventador costs more than a semi-detached house.
The Lamborghini Aventador costs more than a semi-detached house. To be precise, its price tag is £242,280. That is crazy. It has no bathroom, no kitchen, and nowhere to connect a wi-fi router. It does, however, have two seats – so it 'sort of' has a lounge. And how about the view through the front window? It may lack a garden, but check-out the bonnet. That conceals a 6.5-litre V12 engine that produces 700bhp, 508lb ft of torque, and propels this predator to 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds. Top speed is 217mph. Nobody travels that fast in a semi-detached house unless you count PS3 racing games – which we do not. Now, it is traditional for Lamborghini to name their flagship racer after a bull. According to the super-car manufacture, the Aventador is a 'particularly courageous specimen from the world of the Spanish Corrida'. It was apparently bred by someone you probably have not heard of, and won a prize for outstanding courage in a fight. The name is not enough to make me want the car - but its stunning profile, vast wheels, and menacing presence certainly turn my head. Style is important in this sector and this machine looks astonishing. The new Lamborghini Aventador has some nice features to make life easier for its occupants. That is just as well if they are living in it. It has a front-axle lifting system, for starters, so motorists can negotiate speed bumps with ease. Very handy, even family cars bottom-out occasionally. This Italian beast also has: a rear-view camera, heated seats, parking sensors, and an iPod connection. It goes without saying that this racer has tremendously composed handling. If only there was somewhere to store a lawnmower.
