2014 Which? Car Survey
Lexus has been ranked the UK’s number one car manufacturer in the nations biggest survey of car reliability the 2014 Which? Car Survey.
The survey receives feedback on more than fifty-eight thousand cars and Lexus took top spot with an average brand score of 88% which is ten points higher than the test average. It also received the maximum five stars for reliability and 87% customer score and two Which? ‘best buy’ recommendations. Announcing the result, Which? Car Guide says “if you want a luxury car, you might not have to opt for something German. Lexus drivers sing the praises of this brand and they get fault-free motoring.”
Richard Balshaw, Lexus Director, said “with such impressive scope and in-depth research, the Which? Car Survey is a commanding snapshot of what Britain’s car customers really think. This makes Lexus’s success particularly rewarding. We are proud to offer our customers cars that are not only exceptionally reliable, comfortable and luxurious, but which also deliver exciting innovation in styling and advanced technologies. And with hybrid at the heart of our entire model line-up, we continue to offer unmatched opportunities for driving refinement and performance that is both environmentally superior and cost-efficient, supported by the best customer service in the industry.”
The stand out performer for Lexus is the fantastic RX 450h, it is recommended for is being ‘comfy and luxurious’ and having a ‘superb reliability track record’. The Lexus LS strengthens the brand’s success, gaining the best buy seal of approval in the luxury car category, with the previous generation GS recommended among older models, with peerless reliability again a decisive factor.
Lexus recently made improvements to the CT 200h range, upgrades to the styling and handling plus equipment changes that make the market’s only full hybrid luxury hatchback an even more appealing proposition. There are also attractive finance options that open up the prospect of Lexus ownership to many more customers. For example, the new CT 200h S is available from just £219 per month, and the high specification Advance model from £259 per month through Lexus Business Drive contract hire. With CO2emissions across the range falling below the 100g/km threshold and with a new class-leading low of 82g/km for the S version the CT 200h has no charge for annual Vehicle Excise Duty. For business users this also secures the lowest band for benefit-in-kind taxation, at 10 per cent for the first year.
