The Lightning GT is a british made battery electric sports car that is set to go on sale in 2009.
The car has four separate 120 kW wheel-motors, sourced from British firm PML Flightlink, providing all-wheel drive and regenerative braking, with a total output of 650 bhp.
The GT will have a 0-60 miles per hour of less than 4 seconds and a top speed that is limited at 130 mph.
The battery system is a state of the art 36 kWh NanoSafe Lithium-titanate battery pack which will take about 10 minutes to recharge. A full charge should give the vehicle a range of 188 miles.
The company is taking orders for 2009/2010 delivery, with an estimate price of £120,000.
