Mazda MX-5 collects another award

The Mazda MX-5 was awarded the title of "Best Sports Car" on the 2010 JD Power vehicle ownership satisfaction survey for the UK. More than 17,000 car owners across the UK took part in the annual survey. Owners of Mazda's iconic two seater sports car gave their cars scores for appearance, exterior and interior quality and mechanical reliability, performance, running costs and also for dealer service.
The new Mazda MX-5 is better than the older models in terms of quality and refinement, the interior is much improved with some nice new shapes and everything has a feeling of quality engineering. There is a surprising amount of space available in the Mazda MX-5 thanks to some clever attention of detail on the part of the design team. Plenty of cubby storage action available in the cabin together with a decent boot even when the hood is stowed.
Jeff Guyton, President and CEO of Mazda Motor Europe said “the JD Power survey results in the UK are important because Brits are really passionate about sports cars in general, but these results reflect more than just how much they love to drive their Mazda MX-5. They also show how practical and easy to live with our roadster is on a daily basis. It combines low running costs, legendary reliability and good service with thrilling, open-top sports car fun. No wonder it continues to be so popular.
The current Mazda MX-5 is a great little car and one which is an improvement rather than a re-design of the old model.
