Interesting news... MG Motor UK is inviting enthusiasts to explore its world famous facility in Birmingham. Highlights include Lord Austin's office, which looks the same as when the great man sat behind the desk. The two-hour guided tour also includes the MG Museum that houses numerous fascinating vehicles, and the state-of-the-art Technical Centre where three-hundred engineers create new MG cars and components. Visitors can also evaluate the latest models. There is no charge for this tour, but tickets must be reserved in advance.MG Motor UK's current car, the MG6, is available as a five-door hatchback and a saloon called 'Magnette'. This branding has been revived from cars of the past. Every model is powered by a 1.8-litre 158bhp petrol engine, but it would be nice to have a few choices. A diesel would be particularly welcome, as would a high-performance version. The latter would add a touch of glamour too. Furthermore, the MG6's handling is more fun-focussed than some rivals, but it needs work to trump the best in class. I like this vehicle though, and its sales figures for the early part of 2012 look relatively promising. Long live MG Motor UK.
