Mini will launch the Mini Countryman to the UK market on September 18th. The Mini Countryman will be the fourth member of the Mini family following the Hatch, Convertible and the Mini Clubman.
The Mini Countryman is the first Mini to have four doors, seating for five adults and the first to offer four wheel drive, it is available in seven models two of which will offer ALL4, Minis new four wheel drive option. This new version is more than 3ft longer than the original and is also the tallest Mini ever. There is much improved interior space with four individual seats, for extra space the back two seats fold flat. The interior of the BMW Mini Countryman has plenty of kit and includes the same dials and toggle look as the original range. Customers can opt for a panoramic roof and high end audio and navigation systems.
The BMW Mini Countryman will be available with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines ranging in power from 89 bhp in the One Diesel Mini Countryman which is capable of 50mpg to the 181bhp 1.6 litre Mini Countryman Cooper S. There are other fuel saving additions including brake energy recuperation, a stop start system and a gear change indicator.
The Mini Countryman is priced at approximately £16,000 with very high standard specification. Jochen Goller, Director of Mini UK said “the fact that the Mini Countryman is already sold out for this year indicates that Mini showrooms are going to be popular this autumn.”
