The new MINI John Cooper Works Paceman will make its world premiere in January, the market launch will follow in March. The powerful turbo charged engine gives this sports activity coupe a racy edge. It has a lowered sports suspension and an aerodynamic kit plus ofwhich completes the race competition feeling.
The MINI John Cooper Works Paceman is very ‘pacy’ it is capable of 0-62mph in just 6.9 seconds, fuel economy is approximately 38.2 mpg which is quite surprising when the car is so speedy. The turbocharged power partners with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard and a six-speed automatic can be ordered as an option. Both the transmissions and the manual’s clutch have been adapted to handle the engine’s impressive power and play their part in ensuring outstanding performance together with further improvements in efficiency. The automatic’s Steptronic function gives the driver the option of changing gear manually using the selector lever on the centre console or the shift paddles on the steering wheel.
The 18-inch light-alloy wheels in Twin Spoke Black Burnished design with polished spoke fronts and black rim wells are standard on the MINI John Cooper Works Paceman but on the option list is the choice of exclusive 19-inch light-alloy wheels in Cross-Spoke Crusher design. You can choose from nine exterior paint finishes, including the Chili Red shade reserved for the John Cooper Works model. Chili Red is also available exclusively for the MINI John Cooper Works Paceman’s contrast-colour roof, exterior mirror caps and Sport Stripes. The interior of this sporty MINI has a distinctive design, the rear of the car features two individual seats, the sporty steering wheel is stamped with the John Cooper Works logo and has red contrast stitching. Dark coloured dials make the speedometer and rev counter stand out and so does the anthracite coloured roof liner. Standard Piano Black interior trim strips add finishing touches as does the lounge leather sports seats in Carbon Black Championship Red.
The design of this new Paceman will ensure is will stand out from the crowd, as well as being a great a fun car to drive . It also has a standard Sport Button on the centre console which means the driver can tweak the engines response and soundtrack as well as the power assistance provided by the steering. It all does sound like good fun so when this nippy little sports car arrives in March I think a test drive will most definitely be first port of call.
