There are some great deals available this weekend at selected Citroen dealers to celebrate the 90th anniversary for Citroen
The new Citroen C3 Picasso is now available from £9795 with £2000 scrappage allowance deducted. You won’t need to take out a second mortgage to run a C3 Picasso, especially if you opt for one of the HDi models, the new Citroen C3 Picasso 1.6 HDi 16V 90 HP is now available from £12,995 with scrappage allowance deducted. Both models should see you the right side of 50mpg on a regular basis. CO2 emissions are 119g/km and 130g/km respectively, a figure which falls to just under 160g/km if you opt for a petrol version. Insurance groupings are between 3 and 5 and there’s a three year, 60,000 mile warranty. The new Citroen C3 Picasso was recently voted Top Gears magazine’s Family Car of the Year.
Also advertised is the Citroen C2 which can be bought for £6845 with £3000 scrappage allowance deducted. Four engines are offered with the C2. A 61bhp 1.1-litre opens proceedings but the mid-range 75bhp 1.4-litre petrol VTR also looks good value. For ultimate economy, the 70bhp 1.4-litre VTR HDi model will be the first port of call, whilst the 125bhp 1.6-litre petrol VTS version marks the top of the range. This model is now offered at £9996 with scrappage allowance deducted. The petrol VTS is of course the quickest C2 with a 0-60mph sprint of 8.1s and a 126mph top speed. Additional savings can be made by ordering your new car to beat the VAT increase from January 1st 2010.
