Motoring group the RAC is calling for motoring taxation to be reviewed. The Prime Minister Gordon Brown has already commented on the delayed 2 pence rise in duty saying the situation would be looked at carefully.
The RAC foundation claim that a freeze in fuel duty would have little effect on the growing costs of motoring. The costs to motoring have recently cause protesting by hauliers and other drivers. The 2 pence rise in duty was due to come into effect in march but was delayed 6 months due the high price of oil, but the price of crude oil has continued to rise with barrels now costing over $145
