Instead, we’ve delivered a car that’s striking, bold and has attitude. It draws on our iconic models, such as the Camaro and Corvette, for its styling influence, with cues such as the distinctive round headlamps and dual-cockpit interior giving it a lot more personality than you’d normally find in this sector of the market.” The new Chevrolet Aveo is available with four engines. Petrol lovers choose either the 1.2-litre 86PS version or the more flexible 1.4-litre 101PS. There is a 1.3-litre diesel unit too, which has outputs of either 75 or 95PS. All variants have five-speed manual transmission as standard, but the 1.4-litre petrol is available in six-speed guise too. This compact cruiser hits the showrooms in January 2012 – just in time for the new year sales.
