Hove RFC took part in a national competition aiming to get as many team players inside a Chevrolet Aveo in a bid to win new kits for their team. The rules of the competition are quite simple; the rugby club with the most team players inside the car with the doors closed wins new rugby kits for the entire team.
The previous record was set by 11 rugby players at another club in the UK, Hove Rugby Club managed to squeeze in 16 players into a brand new Chevolet Aveo provided by local Chevrolet dealer Frosts. Robert Robinson, Marketing Manager at Frosts, based in Brighton Road, Shoreham by Sea said “it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. I honestly didn’t know if they could beat the current record, but they smashed it! We’ve really enjoyed the association with Hove RFC, both the club and Frosts are celebrating their 60th anniversaries this year, so it was obviously a great fit in more ways than one!”
The new Chevrolet Aveo offers a range of upgraded fuel-efficient, low-emission engines, the 1.2 LS is currently on offer from just £8995 and comes with cruise control, electronic stability control (ESC), Hill Start Assist, traction control and air conditioning as standard. The Aveo is available in three trim levels; LS, LT and LTZ and delivers fantastic value for money.
