Did you know... the Chevrolet Trax is a mystery?
Did you know... the Chevrolet Trax is a mystery? We know more, for starters, about a speck of dust on the surface of the moon than this compact sports utility vehicle. Why? Because we cannot see it in the flesh until The Paris Motor Show in September 2012, and who knows how many lunar cycles before we load it with luggage and set-off for a test drive? The rumour, however, is that the Chevrolet Trax will launch in the UK in the first quarter of 2013, and in one-hundred and forty markets in total. But not the US, we reckon.Thank goodness Susan Docherty, President and Managing Director of Chevrolet Europe, has revealed a few tit-bits. She said: “Trax provides Chevrolet an entry into a growing small SUV segment and delivers the flexibility, great fuel economy, and car-like handling that urban explorers require.” The only other revelations - having peeped through my long-range telescope into its manufacturer's office – is that the Chevrolet Trax has five seats, a spacious boot, and pleasing looks. Also, the Trax will rival the Honda Jazz and Nissan Note, so it could be perfect for young families and town drivers. My telescope has also revealed that this enigma might – and I say might – be available with a 1.4-litre 138bhp petrol engine, and an economical 128bhp 1.7-litre diesel. And yes, this moon lover will come with Chevrolet's reassuring five-year warranty. That is all for now, someone has hidden my telescope. Grrr.
