The Citroen Berlingo has convincingly beaten its rivals to gain top spot for the first two months of 2012. During these months Citroen has sold 1345 Berlingos to take the leading spot.
Scott Michael, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager, said “when the economy is facing a tough time and money is tight, its quality and low running costs that tempt buyers to invest in new vans. The Berlingo provides all the quality, low whole life costs and versatility the market demands, as its sector leadership shows in the opening months of 2012. Euro 5 Berlingo sales for January and February 2012 were 9.6% ahead of the second place manufacturer, 11% ahead of the third place contender and more than outsold the fourth and fifth place manufacturers combined.”
The new Citroen Berlingo boasts a more robust and expressive design for 2012 with many additional features, among the upgrades the Berlingo gains a wider more defined grille with a new headlight arrangement. The interior upholstery has been replaced by Citroens new Gazyban grey trim for a more modern look. The new Berlingo is offered with one petrol and four diesel powertrains. With improved efficiency and environmental performance, the HDi 75 now emits 133g/km of CO due to changes including the new aerodynamic upgrades. The HDi 90 now emits 138g/km down from 140g/km.
