Jeep has announced changes to the diesel powered Jeep Patriot
Jeep has announced changes to the diesel powered Jeep Patriot medium sized SUV. The current 2.0 Volkswagen diesel engine has been replaced with a modern 163bhp 2.2 CRD engine from Mercedes Benz. This new engine boasts advanced common rail technology and the improvements have increased fuel efficiency to 42.8 mpg (combined). Co2 emissions have been reduced which results in a lower tax band.
This new powerful engine increases the vehicle’s maximum speed from 117mph to 125mph and reduces the 0-62mph acceleration time to 10.7 seconds, but it also cements Jeep Patriot’s position as a serious towing vehicle.
The new diesel Jeep Patriot will be available in four different versions the 2.2 CRD Sport, the 2.2 CRD Sport +, the 2.2 CRD Limited and the 2.2 CRD Overland. Prices for the new Jeep Patriot range start at £14,995 OTR for the 2.4 Sport petrol, rising to £21,995 OTR for the 2.2 CRD Overland.
