The Listers Group Jaguar franchise in Worcester opens to the public in early January 2013.
The Listers Group Jaguar franchise in Worcester opens to the public in early January 2013. The Listers Group started life in 1979 and has evolved into a very successful business. This family run empire therefore has over forty centres throughout the UK. These include Audi in Birmingham, BMW in Boston, Land Rover in Droitwich, Lexus in Coventry, and Mercedes-Benz in Hull. The Listers Group also caters for those who favour less prestigious cars via Hyundai in Leamington Spa, SEAT in Coventry, and Toyota in Cheltenham. Both new and used vehicles are available as are servicing and repairs. The Listers Group also reports – via its website - that its philosophy is “firmly centred around customer care and satisfaction”. As such, staff receive “regular training and coaching” and are “monitored to ensure the experience given to the customer is of the highest standard”.Jaguar produce a wide range of cars to tempt motorists into the new showroom. Highlights include the F-TYPE 5.0-litre V8 which is an open top sports car comparable to the Porsche Boxster. The Jaguar produces 495PS, hits 62mph in 4.3 seconds, and is capable of 186mph. Very fast, then. The F-TYPE is also listed in 3.0-litre V6 340PS and 3.0-litre V6 380PS forms. Every model has eight-speed auto transmission, rear-wheel drive, an electric folding roof, and stunning looks. All from £58,500 to £79,950. In contrast, whereas the Jaguar XK is sporty it is more Grand Tourer than its sibling. Think Mercedes-Benz SL/CL. Every trim has a 5.0-litre 385PS V8 bolted to six-speed automatic transmission. These propel the coupé version to 62mph in 5.5 seconds but the convertible is fractionally slower. Prices range from £65,430 to £76,930. The XKR 5.0-litre 510PS and the XKR-S 550PS, in contrast, feel more brutish and hard-core. These charge to 62mph in only 4.8 and 4.4 seconds respectively, and the latter can hit 186mph. All from £78,930 to £103,430. Jaguar manufacturers sleek saloons too. Highlights include the XFR which is medium sized and rivals the BMW M5. It therefore has a 5.0-litre 510PS V8 that propels it to 62mph in 4.9 seconds and on to 155mph. That is fast for only £65,380. The XF is also available in less speedy forms for £29,940 to £50,450 and as an estate - known as the “Sportbrake” - for £31,940 to £51,505. The latter has a super-spacious 1,675-litre cargo capacity once the rear seats are folded flat. Every XF also has rock-solid handling, a luxurious cabin, and fantastic ride quality. Then, of course, there is the mighty XJ which takes on the most prestigious saloons from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, and Lexus. This is available in standard and long-wheelbase forms and is a supremely cosseting limousine. Technical highlights include its television tuner, the hard drive for storing music, the panoramic roof, and its Bowers & Wilkins 1200w sound system. All for £56,260 to £95,235.
