New Kia two-door Coupe Concept
Kia has unveiled a new two-door coupe at the New York Motor Show. The KOUP was a surprise reveal on the Kia stand aimed to illustrate the design evolution of future Kia's. Chief designer Tom Kearns said "Kia is currently designing cars to appeal to driving enthusiasts who want stylish looks and advanced technology. We believe KOUP delivers that strong appeal". Carbon-fibre detailing appears throughout the concept on the chin spoiler, headlamp cowling, door mirrors, rear bumper insert and rear diffuser. The 19-inch wheels also feature carbon fibre inserts. It also incorporates a panoramic glass roof with mood lighting running the length of it. Its powered by a 2.0-litre Theta II turbocharged engine producing 290 bhp using direct injection and turbocharger and 289lb ft torque is available from 2,000 rpm to 4,000rpm.
