The Lamborghini Aventador is so monstrous it might make your head explode.
The Lamborghini Aventador is so monstrous it might make your head explode. Let us consider the staggering numbers: 6.5-litre V12 engine, 700bhp, 508lb ft of torque, and 0- 62mph in a teeth-shattering 2.9 seconds. This £242,280 rocket also reaches 217mph, so there is no excuse to be late. Two more numbers... it only averages 17.2mpg and this falls to a painful 11.3mpg in town. Running this machine costs more than the UK budget deficit. It is traditional for Lamborghini to name their flagship racer after a bull. According to the super-car manufacture, the Aventador is a 'particularly courageous specimen from the world of the Spanish Corrida'. It was apparently bred by someone you probably have not heard of, and won a prize for outstanding courage in a fight. The name is not enough to make me want the car - but its stunning profile, vast wheels, and menacing presence certainly turn my head. Style is important in this sector and this machine looks astonishing. The Lamborghini Aventador has some nice features to make life easier. It has a front- axle lifting system, for example, so motorists can negotiate speed bumps without a ladder. It also has: a rear-view camera, heated seats, parking sensors, plus iPod and USB connectivity. It goes without saying that this road-legal racer is tremendously accomplished through fast corners. Very nice, but hardly an everyday workhorse. Best buy a Focus too.
