The new Honda Accord has undergone a facelift
The new Honda Accord has undergone a facelift; the visual changes include revised lights, bumpers and grille, alterations to various pieces of trim and three new colours to choose from. The Honda Accord ES and ES GT have the option of 17inch alloys at no extra cost. The interior of the Honda Accord has updated new materials and colours and the footwell lights activate with headlights blue for the Honda ES and EX models and red for the sportier Honda ES GT and Type S.
Under the bonnet Co2 emissions have been improved there is a drop of 9g/km in CO2 emissions for manual gearbox equipped Honda Accords while the automatic has an 11g/km reduction. The diesel Tourer comes with a manual or automatic gearbox the manual emitting 143g/km which is a 10g/km improvement. The automatic diesel is the only Honda Accord emitting over 160g/km co2 emissions.
Safety upgrades for the new Honda Accord include new active cornering lights that provide additional side illumination at night whenever the indicators are activated or the steering wheel is turned further than 90 degrees. There is also the option of bi-xenon headlights which benefit from High Beam Support, this uses a camera to detect headlights or taillights in front of the car and automatically dip the high beam to avoid dazzling other motorists.
