Have you fallen in love with the Peugeot 208?
Have you fallen in love with the Peugeot 208? If so, rejoice. Why? Because the Access 1.0 VTi 3dr variant is now available via the manufacturer's 'Just Add Fuel Offer'. This is easier to relate to than love at first sight. Simply make monthly payments of £219 to cover: three years vehicle hire, insurance, warranty, servicing, road tax, and roadside assistance. This is subject to terms and conditions, of course. At the end of the contract simply return the car and find a new love. There should be nothing else to pay, subject to mileage limitations and vehicle condition. But please... remember to leave a 'Dear John' note in the glove box.The Peugeot 208 Access 1.0 VTi 3dr has numerous strengths that make it loveable. It averages 65.7mpg, for starters, increasing to 74.3mpg on the extra-urban cycle. This frugality ensures low carbon emissions, so it can be taxed for free. This complements the bang-up-to-date styling, respectable 285-litre boot, pleasing handling, and the fair equipment specification. This includes: cruise control with a speed limiter, a CD player, electric front windows, and an electronic stability programme for safer cornering. Shame it lacks air-con. The only other niggle is that its 68bhp engine takes a lengthy 15.9 seconds to propel your love to 62mph. Some marriages breakdown in that time. Overall, though, the 208 is a capable package for the price. Where will you take yours for a 'romantic' date?
