A new addition to the GTi line-up from one of the founding fathers of the hot-hatch.
The new hot-hatch from Peugeot will arrive the first week of November, the high performance model will most certainly meet all expectations and boasts stylish specification inside and out.
308 GTi Peugeot Sport
When Peugeot add the letters GTi then the highest performance is guaranteed, the new 308 GTi has been extensively developed, it is powered by a 1.6 litre THP petrol engine with Stop&Start technology that is available in two power outputs; 250hp and 270hp.
Performance is limited to 155mph but Co2 emissions are just 139g/km and fuel economy is an impressive 47.0mpg. The 308 GTi 250 is capable of 0-62mph in just 6.2 seconds and the GTi 270 can do the same in just 6 seconds.
The new model sits much lower to the ground, it boasts an aggressive new front and rear design and is offered in six distinctive exterior colours; Ultimate Red, Pearlescent White, Magnetic Blue, Nera Black, Cumulus Grey and Hurricane Grey, there is also the option of a two tone design name ‘Coupe Franche’ which is exclusive to the 308 GTi 270 which is contrasting in the Nera Black and Ultimate Red.
The interior of the GTi 308 is equally as impressive as the exterior. The sporty look is complemented with a compact steering wheel ins the Peugeot i-Cockpit cabin design. It features full grain leather with GTi logo at the base, the door sill also features the Peugeot Sport and GTi signature. All the upholstery has read stitching as do the door panels, gear lever and premium door mats. If you opt for the 270 then the race inspired seats are upholstered in leather effect and Alcantara. The sporty racing theme continues on with the head up display instrument panel read outs featuring a chequered backdrop and a GTi greets the driver on start up.
A Driver Sport Pack is included as standard equipment, also standard is red ‘Peugeot’ lettering on the grill plus sports side skirts and new twin exhaust system with black diffuser. Full LED headlamps, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, front LED sequential indicator, satellite navigation complete the standard equipment.
The PEUGEOT 308 GTi 250 is priced at £26,555 on the road, the more powerful PEUGEOT 308 GTi 270 with the Torsen differential, 19” wheels, larger front brakes and sports seats is priced at £28,155. The exclusive Coupe Franche with Ultimate Red / Nera Black paint finish (exclusive to the GTi 270 model only) is an extra £1,300.
