From June production the Porsche Cayenne Diesel receives a second generation engine offering greater efficiency and lower Co2 emissions. The three litre V6 Diesel engine offered in the Porsche Cayenne retains the same bore and displacement but will deliver 245hp, 5hp more than previously. Co2 emissions will drop to 189g/km and fuel economy rises to 39 mpg from 38.2mpg.
The Porsche Cayenne Diesel will also benefit from other improvements and options. Porsche will offer a Powerkit which boosts the maximum power by 40hp to 540hp; performance will improve so the Porsche Cayenne Diesel will be capable of 0-62mph in just 4.6 seconds. Available as a further option are Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) which now provide deceleration courtesy of larger front brake discs, now 420 mm in diameter. An optional 20 inch collapsible spare wheel is available for vehicles equipped with this system.
Cosmetic options from Porsche Exclusive now available for the Porsche Cayenne include tinted LED rear lights, Bi-Xenon headlights in black including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and quad sports exhaust tailpipes.
