The new Range Rover Sport has been voted the UK’s number one SUV in the large SUV category by the judges at What Car?. The favourite model picked by the judges is the 3.0 litre SDV6 HSE, the high level of standard equipment was also praised. Standard equipment includes keyless entry, reversing camera, electrically adjustable steering wheel and heated rear seats. The Range Rover Sport is available with the choice of petrol and diesel engines in the new which are paired with the advanced electronically controlled ZF 8HP70 8-speed automatic gearbox and across the range acceleration times from 0-60mph start from just five seconds, going on to a top speed of 130mph. Fuel economy is an impressive 37.7mpg with CO2 emissions of only 199g/km. There is choice of eighteen exterior colours designed specifically to complement the huge range inside the new Range Rover includes luxurious soft touch surfaces around the cabin and occupants benefit from a much wider cabin. There is also a new integrated third row of seating and occasional 5+2 seating can be specified. These powered seats leave a flat floor with no loss of boot space and are split 50/50. The Range Rover also boasts new enhanced technologies introducing a digital camera system which supports three driver assistance features that help deliver improved driver awareness: Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and Automatic High Beam Assist. Another unique innovation on the Sport is the new Wade Sensing™ feature that provides ‘depth’ information when driving through water, made even more beneficial to the driver now that the Sport’s maximum wading depth has increased by 150mm over the previous model to 850mm. There is also the option of a comprehensive connectivity package that enables customers to stay connected to their vehicle, business and family lives. 'Connected car' technology allows the driver to check the status of the vehicle via an App installed on their smartphone and also provides support features such as Stolen Vehicle Tracking, Emergency Call and Land Rover Assist Call.
