New Scirocco GTS opens for orders

Order books open for the new Volkswagen Scirocco GTS

Volkswagen seem to be on a constant mission when it comes to staying ahead of the competition and releasing new models and it is what they do best. In the last twelve months we have seen the new VW Up, Touareg and the new Beetle along with various new engines and uplifts. Straight after New Year’s Day we are set to see a new model Scirocco so read on.

Order books open the 2nd January for the new Volkswagen Scirocco GTS, this new model boasts a unique specification including a pair of broad strips running the length of the car from front to rear, no chance of missing this new model on the road. Other exterior features include red or white coloured door mirror caps, bespoke 18” ‘Thunder’ alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof.

There are several different options when choosing the colour, you could have Candy White with black stripes and red door mirrors, Salsa Red with black stripes and white mirrors, Deep Black Pearl with white stripes and red mirrors or Indium Grey with black stripes and red mirrors. One thing is for sure whichever colour you choose this GTS is definitely going to stand out in the crowd! The interior is luxurious with black Vienna leather upholstery stitched in a bright red and with the embroidered GTS logo. There is the sporty golf ball style gearknob and bespoke multifunction steering wheel with GTS logo and GTS sill plates plus floor mats with matching red piping and Piano Black and Black Peak decorative facia inserts and Piano Black door handles. Equipment is also of a high standard with RNS 315 satellite navigation, adaptive chassis control, 2Zone Climate Control, MDI multi device interface and Bluetooth telephone connection.

This new Volkswagen Scirocco GTS is powered by either a new 2.0 litre TDI 177 PS or a 2.0litre TSI 210 PS engine with a six speed manual or DSG gearbox. This eye catching model is priced from £27,945 for the TSI manual, £29,345 for the TSI DSG, £27,980 for the TDI manual and £29,395 for the TDI DSG.

It is safe to say that VW see themselves as a premium brand along with the likes of BMW, Mercedes and their rival in arms Audi, and to be honest who can blame them because they seem to go from strength to strength and have a model which pretty much covers every sector. Prices are going up slightly but are still not as expensive as the above marques so when considering any premium brand you have to put VW on your research list especially in 2013.
