About time too... the SEAT Mii is finally available.
About time too... the SEAT Mii is finally available. But for how much? Prices, in fact, range from £7,845 for the entry-level manual trim to £10,390 for the highest-spec automatic. For these sums motorists can have either a three or five-door model, both of which have class competitive 251-litre boots. Capacity can be increased to 951-litres by folding the rear seats flat. Power comes from a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces either 60 or 75PS. The most economical model averages 67.2mpg and can be taxed for free thanks to its low emissions. And how about this? The SEAT Mii is available with the City Safety Assist System. This – at speeds of up to 18mph - warns the driver if he or she fails to react to a slowing or stationary vehicle. If required, the Mii brakes automatically to avoid or reduce the severity of an impact. Amazing! How long before vehicles drive themselves? The SEAT Mii has a couple of siblings too, specifically the Volkswagen up! and the Skoda Citigo. These city cars share the same platform but portray very different personalities and images. As such, the VW feels like the posh one that went to university and got a swanky job in the city. The Skoda is the unpretentious manual worker that gets the job done without fuss - and the SEAT wants to be carefree and to travel. These family members are, however, more similar than they care to admit. Every version is easy to drive, feels robust, has excellent safety features, and a nice equipment specification. Must be happy families?
