DS3 DStyle Pink and DSport Pink
Citroen have launched a new range of DS3 Special Editions for the start of the New Year, the DS3 DStyle Pink and the DSport Pink, both new models are on sale this month prices starting from £15,675.
The Citroen DS3 is an award winning supermini, so there is no doubt these new special editions will be a welcome addition. The Citroen DS3 certainly stands out in the crowd its eye catching face and upmarket LED running lights that merge with the distinctive Citroen double chevron featured on the bonnet together with the deep grille and flared wheel arches plus a chrome slash in the door completes the look.
The new Citroen DS3 Pink models feature a fuchsia pink roof, door mirrors and wheel centre caps. The striking pink theme continues inside the cabin, with a fuchsia dashboard and a colour coded gear lever knob adding a splash of colour to the interior.
The DS3 Pink versions are available with Polar White or Perla Nera Black body colours and feature additional specification above and beyond the existing DStyle and DSport equipment levels.
The DS3 DStyle Pink boasts either 16-inch ‘Ashera’ Black or White alloy wheels to match the chosen body colour as well as a HiFi System upgrade with additional speakers on top of the usual DStyle specification. Meanwhile, the range-topping DSport Pink features either 17-inch ‘Bellone’ Black or White alloys, plus the addition of a ‘City Signature’ pack, which includes automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, heated and electric folding door mirrors and a front central armrest.
Four engines and two trim levels
There are four engines to choose from across the two trim levels, the DS3 DStyle Pink is available with either a VTi 120 petrol engine or an e-HDi 90 Airdream diesel powerplant that produces just 95g/km of CO2. The DS3 DSport Pink is powered either a THP 155 petrol or an impressively efficient e-HDi 115 Airdream diesel engine both engines are mated with 6-speed manual transmissions.
The success of the Citroen DS3 since its launch is phenomenal, at the end of 2012 Citroen launched the DS3 Cabriolet, this models features a folding fabric roof much like the Fiat 500c rather than a full convertible system. This type of roof is more beneficial that a conventional full convertible as it costs far less to develop and weights much less but retains a more torsional rigidity. The convertible has been a huge success and there is no doubt these two new special editions will enjoy the same recognition.
