The rear of the Volkswagen Touran has revised tail lights featuring intricate LED bulbs along with a new tailgate and bumper. Completing the new look are a set of new alloy wheels and chrome edged rubbing strips running down the side of the vehicle.The interior of the Volkswagen Touran has a fresh new look with dials featuring subtle white backlighting and a large electronic display to relay information on the vehicles systems. The Volkswagen Touran is fitted with seven seats as standard, the third row of which can be folded down into the floor of the vehicle which creates 695 litre load space which can be increased to 1913 litre when the centre row of seats is folded. There is a range of efficient new petrol and diesel engines, the entry level petrol engine is a new 1.2 litre TSI unit delivering 105PS, and it is joined by a 1.4 litre TSI engine developing 140PS. The Volkswagen Touran diesel range comprises of two engines with four different power outputs. The 1.6 litre TDI engine is available with a choice of 90 or 105 PS while the 2.0 litre offers 140 or 170 PS. The Volkswagen Touran 1.2 TSI 105 petrol and 1.6 litre 105PS diesel engines can be specified in BlueMotion Technology. The diesel Bluemotion returns 61.4mpg on the combined cycle making the new Volkswagen Touran the most efficient MPV Volkswagen has ever produced.
