A new addition joins the Qashqai range the new Qashqai 360, this new crossover replaces the n-tec+ and is set to be this year’s bestseller. It is on sale now and is priced from £19,945.
The new Qashqai 360 still features Nissan’s Connect with 360° Around View Monitor system just like the n-tec+. The system integrates satnav with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity along with four cameras to give a ‘helicopter view’ when parking, it is an impressive piece of equipment. This new model includes added standard equipment consisting of 18-inch ‘Onyx’ alloy wheels, rear privacy glass and a fantastic panoramic roof. The interior is upgraded and quite luxurious with part leather trim with double white stitching, a gloss black gearlever surround, gloss black door handles and a leather armrest. There is plenty of space inside the Qashqai, lots of head and leg room and a rear bench that will sit three across comfortably, so the family and the dog plus the luggage can go anywhere! The boot is also a great size and can be expanded to 660 litres when the rear seats are split.
The Nissan Qashqai production line in Sunderland has been running around the clock for some time to meet global demand, producing an average of 1,200 Qashqai’s per day. No other car is made in such numbers in the UK, and Nissan is easily the UK’s biggest car manufacturer. The car is popular as it is not quite a 4x4 but more than your regular hatchback and is it priced competitively with similar rivals. It is extremely affordable to run which is now what most drivers are looking for when buying a new car, the 1.6 diesel is the most popular choice returning 63mpg and emitting just 119g/km co2 emissions. The new 360 package is available across all engine and transmission options and can be specified on the Qashqai and Qashqai+2. The exterior of the Nissan Qashqai 360 boasts‘360’ badges and there is also a new exterior paint offered called ‘Storm White’ which is the perfect contrast to the 360’s gloss black highlights.
There is no doubt the new Qashqai 360’ will be successful, the former model the n-tec+ outsold the Kia Sportage and Hyundai ix35, just this one trim outsold the entire Ford Mondeo range so watch this space as this time next year the new Nissan Qashqai 360 will have repeated this and probably achieved even more.
