Protect the elderly and cover your kid's eyes – the Nissan GT-R Track Pack is available now.
Protect the elderly and cover your kid's eyes – the Nissan GT-R Track Pack is available now. This predator is even tougher than its hard-as-nails sibling as it is optimised for the track. The brakes, for starters, have been enhanced with cooling ducts in the carbon front splitter and near the rear wheels. These cool the braking system which reduces stopping distances and improves lap times. This complements the upgraded suspension that can - like all GT-Rs – be tweaked for a comfortable on-road ride. Can you get that on the Micra? The Nissan GT-R Track Pack has other enhancements to distinguish itself. The 'Track Pack' emblem on the centre console is prominent, and it has six-spoke RAYS alloys with dark centres. These weigh ten kilograms less than standard GT-R alloys. Furthermore, the rear seats have been removed to save weight, and the fronts are covered with a high-grip material to stop drivers sliding around during hard cornering. This is affectionately known as 'magic cloth' by Kazutoshi Mizuno, the 'father of the GT-R'. Like its siblings the Track Pack produces 550PS, hits 62mph in 2.8 seconds, and can reach 196mph. The price is £84,450, £10,000 more than a normal GT-R. Okay, you can uncover your child's eyes now.
