Order books have now opened for the new Vauxhall Ampera E-REV; the first cars will hit the showrooms by May this year. This new model is offered in three trim levels with prices starting at £29,995 for the entry level inclusive of the £5000 government plug-in car grant. The entry level will only be available to order from May. The Electron costs £33,995 (inclusive of the £5,000 government plug-in car grant) and the Positiv model which sits in the middle of the Ampera range can be ordered immediately.
The entry level includes standard features such as DAB radio, 7-inch touch-screen control monitor, cruise control and alloy wheels. The Positiv adds a leather interior, with heated seats and front/rear parking sensors with a rear view camera. The top of the range Electron has standard features including a state-of-the-art infotainment unit comprising colour touch screen, satellite navigation system, bespoke Bose Energy Efficient Series sound system, DVD video player, 30GB hard-disc drive storage and voice-controlled navigation, telephone and music systems.
