A strong 12 months is credited by The Sunday Times
Perrys have positioned themselves firmly at number 16 on The Sunday Times list which ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies with the biggest sales. This is the 8th time Perrys have featured in the list since 2005 and their highest showing since 2008 where they placed 13th out of 250.
This year’s results were excellent for privately owned car dealerships with 50 dealers featured in the top 250.
What The Chairman Thought...
Ken Savage, Chairman of Perrys, said: “It’s a huge achievement for the group, one that can be attributed to the hard work of all of our 1850 members of staff.
“The Sunday Times Top Track 250 is an important league table and it’s great to be one of the highest dealer groups to make the list.
“In the last twelve months we’ve added a new franchise to Perrys as well as acquiring the GK Group, extending our scale into the East Midlands and strengthening our Ford dealer network.
“We believe that the group’s ongoing success can be credited to its commitment to the core values of customer care, high-quality vehicles and staff retention.
“Perrys’ growth will continue into 2016 when our brand new £7m multi-franchise showroom will open in Preston, just off the M6.”
A Top Track 250 company fits the following criteria:
- Between 100 and 5,000 staff
- Sales between £140m and £650m
- Owned and run by families and entrepreneurs, around 30% by private equity firms.
