Peugeot at Goodwood Festival of Speed

One of the largest motoring events is the Goodwood Festival of Speed, this years edition takes place from 26th - 29th June and Peugeot will be displaying a spectacular line-up. On show will be the latest production models, plus the latest stunning concept cars and a thrill ride the ‘Peugeot Gravity Drop’. The ride that takes visitors forty feet up in the air provides breath-taking panoramic views of Goodwood House and the surrounding estate, before taking thrill seekers back down to earth with in a compelling descent. Also making an appearance will be the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak car which will be driven by Sébastien Loeb as he looks to to beat another hillclimb record.
Peugeot is celebrating thirty years of the GTi this year and at the Goodwood Festival in the Supercar & ‘First Glimpse’ class the specially-enhanced 208 GTi 30th Anniversary Limited Edition makes its world debut on display with dynamic demonstrations. The 208 GTi 30th Anniversary will be available for viewing on static display in the Moving Motor Show showroom.
Peugeot Exalt Concept Car will be on display demonstrating the latest in hybrid technology. It combines the RCZ R’s powerful 270bhp 1.6 litre-petrol engine, with a cutting-edge 70bhp electric motor to deliver both high speeds and efficiency. The 208 HYbrid FE Concept, meanwhile, will showcase the best of both worlds, a fun but economical driving experience. This micro-hybrid model provides a GTi-like performance, accelerating from 0 to 62mph in an impressive eight seconds, without the high fuel consumption and emissions rates. The 907 V12 Concept Coupe will also be making an appearance in the Goodwood Cartier Style et Luxe concours de elegance competition. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show back in 2004, it was, at the time, Peugeot’s view of an ultimate GT car. Featuring a 500bhp 6.0-litre V12 engine, this concept car’s carbon fibre body and interior encapsulates sportiness, class and functionality.
The recently crowned 2014 European Car of the Year, the new Peugeot 308 will also be available to drive. This version, fitted with our new PureTech 1.2-litre Turbo e-THP 130 engine, is capable of providing impressive fuel efficiency without compromising power.
Vistiors will also be able to try the new 108 TOP! Cabrio before is UK launch on 1st July, this is a fantastic city car full of personality and technology designed to make daily driver easier.
