Peugeot Just Add Fuel: Simple And Convenient

Just Add Fuel: What Is It?

Peugeot Just Add Fuel is a convenient way to pay for a new car from the manufacturer's comprehensive range. It enables the motorist - rather than separately covering the costs associated with driving - to make single monthly instalments that cover virtually everything.

Just Add Fuel: How Does It Work?

Just Add Fuel comes in two flavours. The Passport element enables the motorist to buy the vehicle at the end of the term, whereas the Personal Lease element requires it to be returned at some point.

The motorist starts by choosing a vehicle. He/she then pays a deposit/initial rental which is followed by monthly instalments over three years. Payments cover the cost of the car, plus its: warranty, insurance for up to three people, annual road tax, European roadside assistance and servicing - hence “just add fuel”.

Peugeot has a range of finance examples that state the initial rental is “x” and it is followed by monthly payments of “x”. The motorist might, however, prefer to tweak the finance terms online via the personal quote calculator. Raising or lowering the initial rental has an impact on the monthly payment, for example – as does raising the annual mileage limit that ranges from 6,667 to 20,000.

Just Add Fuel: What Happens At The End Of The Contract?

The manufacturer has explained that Just Add Fuel Passport customers have three options at the end of the contract:

  • “Pay the amount we anticipate your car will be worth” to own it outright. This sum is defined at the start of the contract.
  • “Hand your car back with nothing further to pay” (subject to mileage and condition).
  • “Part exchange your car for a brand new one.”

In contrast, Just Add Fuel Personal Lease customers can:

  • “Pay the amount we anticipate your car will be worth”, then “continue to drive the car by paying an annual rental equivalent to one of your monthly rentals”.
  • “Hand your car back with nothing further to pay (subject to mileage and condition).
  • “Part exchange your car for a brand new one.”
