Evoque production figures
In 2016, the Range Rover Evoque is celebrating its 5th birthday and is so popular that the Halewood Plant, near Liverpool, produces at full capacity 24 hours per-day. During 2011 – the manufacturer said – this “luxury, compact, sports-utility vehicle” launched and 22,000 found homes. Production rose then sales hit 108,000 in 2015.
The Evoque is the “fastest selling Land Rover of all time”, the manufacturer said. A vehicle rolls-off the production line every 170 seconds, and staff have clocked-up more than 3 million night shift hours since launch. Workers kept spirits high by consuming 668,083 cups of coffee, 125,727 slices of toast, plus 518,210 eggs.
Sports-utility vehicle claims numerous awards
The Range Rover Evoque picked-up close to 200 awards since its launch, the manufacturer explained. Further, Halewood Operations claimed 11 regional business awards and, recently, its first national award. Specifically, it took the UK Manufacturer of the Year crown at the Insider MADE in the UK Manufacturing Awards 2016.

Range Rover Evoque for 2016
The Range Rover Evoque is “distinctive and individual – a true Range Rover in compact form”, the manufacturer claimed. As of its 5th birthday, it is available in 5-door, Coupé and Convertible form.
The 2016 Evoque 5-door costs from £30,600 to £51,200. Engine options are: 2.0-litre 150hp diesel, 2.0-litre 180hp diesel, and 2.0-litre 240hp petrol. There is also a choice of: 2-wheel or 4-wheel-drive, 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission, plus SE, SE Tech, HSE Dynamic, HSE Dynamic Lux, and Autobiography trims.
The Evoque Coupé has 3 doors and a sportier look. Prices range from £33,000 to £51,200, and it comes with the same engines and gearboxes as the 5-door. It is available with 2, or 4, wheel-drive and: SE Tech, HSE Dynamic, HSE Dynamic Lux and Autobiography trims.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible has a folding, fabric, roof and comes with 4-wheel-drive only. Power comes courtesy of the 2.0-litre, 180hp, diesel engine and the 2.0-litre, 240hp, petrol. There is a choice of manual or automatic transmission, plus the: HSE Dynamic and HSE Dynamic LUX trims. It costs from £47,500 - £51,700.
