One of the world’s rarest supercars the Spyker C8 Spyder will go under the auctioneers hammer later this month.
The Aston Barclay Group’s Chelmsford centre has been called upon to auction the Spyker C8 Spyder which is expected to sell for more than £195,000. The car was registered in 2007 and is car 175 of the 250 ever built. It is capable of 0-62mph in just over four seconds and can reach a top speed of 190mpg. The Spyker C8 has covered less than 5000 miles.
David Scarborough, Aston Barclay’s Commercial Director, said “outside of the classic car sector, Spyker Spyders are arguably among the rarest cars on the planet. It is a sublime example and has been maintained to the highest standards. Spykers scarcely come to auction here in the UK so, for Aston Barclay, auctioning such a fine example is undoubtedly a coup; it’s the automotive equivalent of auctioning a fine masterpiece.”
