Renault cars at cost price

One North-East based Renault dealer has an innovative way of adjusting to life post-scrappage, by promising to sell all new cars at cost price for a limited time. In a move that echoes US-based dealer strategies, Benfield Renault are offering up to £6300 off new cars.According to their website, the offers end within two weeks, and apply across the range. Other brands are also cutting prices to rock-bottom levels as new cars sales enquiries dip sharply. Some Ford dealers are offering similar savings on the New Ford Focus, with almost 25% off some models if taken with a Ford finance plan. There are lesser savings on the UK’s number one selling car, the Ford Fiesta. After its launch last year, the Fiesta has collected accolades and sales with ease, moving swiftly to the top of the sales charts and staying there ever since. Only a measly £1800 or so off mid-range models, but with stock apparently hard to come by, not a bad saving on the best car in its class. The Renault offers are right through the range, so if you are after the next generation Clio, Megane or Laguna, you only have a couple of weeks before the latest deals end. Traditionally ,the end of March is a bargain hunters paradise, with dealers trying to hit sales targets for the first quarter on new ‘10’ registration plate cars. With used car prices still very strong, according to the latest figures from industry leading Glass’s Guide, there are some compelling reasons for consumers to dip their toe into the market for Renault, Ford and other mass market cars.
