- Captur Petrol: £250
- Captur Diesel: £500
- Kadjar Petrol: £500
- Kadjar Diesel: £1,500
- Koleos Diesel: £2,000
New Renault Captur
The New Captur is a small, crossover class, vehicle that enables you to “start an adventure”, its manufacturer said. Its purpose is to blend car-like handling with rugged, off-road, sports-utility styling and be small enough to manoeuvre easily in busy towns. It is 4,122mm long, 1,778mm wide and the cargo capacity is 455-litres.
Special skills include low running costs. Consider the 1.5-litre, 90hp, Diesel Manual Expression+ version, for instance. It averages 78.5mpg, hits 70.6mpg in town and manages 83.1mpg on the extra-urban cycle. Furthermore, emissions are only 95g/km so it can be taxed for £120 in its first year. Captur prices start from £15,615.
The Kadjar is a medium size, crossover class, vehicle “for all your adventurous needs”, the manufacturer suggested. Its purpose is to inherit strengths from its smaller sibling – the Captur – then add further space, refinement and prestige. It measures 4,449mm long, 1,836mm wide and the boot capacity is 472-litres. All from £19,785.
Special skills include the high equipment specification. Consider the 1.6-litre, 130hp, Diesel 4WD Manual Signature S Nav, for example. Standard features include: all-wheel-drive, reversing camera, leather seats, front and rear parking sensors, hill-start assist plus the ability to steer automatically into parking spaces.
New Renault Koleos
The New Koleos is a large, crossover class, vehicle that is suitable “whatever your quest”, the manufacturer argued. Its purpose is to be a prestigious, spacious, and practical lifestyle statement that is stylish enough to turn heads. It is 4,673mm long, 1,863mm wide and the boot capacity is 565-litres. All from £28,000.
Special skills include its safety features. Euro NCAP – the independent body that tests such things – therefore awarded it a maximum, 5 star, overall rating following a series of high speed crash tests. It included percentage scores from categories such as:
- Adult occupant protection: 90%
- Child occupant protection: 79%
- Pedestrian protection: 62%
- Safety assist (among other things, includes features that cut the risk of mishap such as automatic emergency braking): 75%
