Ahhh luxury... the Renault Twizy is now more comfortable for winter motorists courtesy of its optional side windows. Sounds perfect for those who want to wrap-up warm. As such, for £295 including VAT, motorists can purchase a kit that can be fitted and removed without tools. This process is straightforward and fast which minimises exposure to the harsh British winter. The kit includes a metal frame which attaches to the doors and flexible, transparent, windows that connect to the frame via zips. See... the Twizy is clearly a luxurious machine. The windows include openings so that motorists can operate the door handles, and slits allow air to circulate in the cabin. The latter prevents the one-hundred per-cent electric Renault Twizy steaming-up.The Renault Twizy is a two-seater measuring 2.34 metres by 1.24 metres. It is powered by a 13KW (17HP) motor that propels winter motorists to about fifty miles-per-hour. Furthermore, Renault says it has a range of about sixty miles - but as with all electric vehicles this varies according to the conditions. Racing uphill uses more power than gently rolling downhill, of course. Once flat, this winter marvel can be charged over 3.5 hours via a standard three-pin plug socket. Now for finance. The Renault Twizy costs from £6,690 to £7,400 plus optional windows and batteries. The latter can be hired from its manufacturer from £45 per-month, based on 4,500 miles per-year over three years. Quite a lot, but luxury has always been pricey.
