New Concept to be launched 2017
Rolls Royce has confirmed that they will be bringing an SUV into full production due to customer demand. The launch date won’t be until the year 2017 as the company will take time developing and perfecting the new concept. Reports suggest it will be a ‘high bodied’ car with an all new aluminium architecture, it has been referred to as “a car that offers the luxury of a Rolls-Royce in a vehicle that can cross any terrain” and “a car that appropriately reflects Rolls-Royce’s brand promise of effortless luxury.”
Details about the car’s mechanicals have not been revealed but it would be expected to have a V12 engine and a new plug-in hybrid powertrain. Four-wheel drive would be standard along with an luxuriously appointed interior and a pricing structure that starts somewhere at £250,000. The introduction of an SUV will introduce the brand to a whole new audience and global sales will certainly increase.
New Models to arrive to Market
Rolls-Royce has more than just an SUV to arrive to the market, a Drophead Coupe version of the Wraith will arrive next year and eventually the brand will introduce a replacement for the flagship Phantom which is now in its thirteenth model year. The replacement for the Phantom will not be rushed because it is a timeless icon very popular in the market. Rolls Royce live with the Henry Royce’s ethos and strive for perfection.
