Skoda Yeti Monte Carlo now on sale

The Skoda Monte Carlo range continues to expand with the Yeti now joining the line-up. The new Skoda Yeti Monte Carlo is based on the equipment levels of the SE trim but offers generous additional specification.
The Skoda Yeti is extremely popular and has won many awards, in 2011 the Yeti won the ‘Crossover’ category and took the ‘4x4 of the Year’ title from the magazine Total 4x4 and then in 2012 it came top in the same category and received ‘Special Award for Best Value’. At the beginning of this year the Yeti has made it second year in a row for ‘Special Award for Best Value’ which is a very impressive record. Since its launch in 2009 more than 21,000 have been sold in the UK and the awards total fifteen, buyers are charmed with its on-road performance, family-orientated practicality and rugged styling. Furthermore, the spacious and stylish crossover offers motorists a low carbon footprint coupled with a high level of fuel economy, reliability and versatility.
The manual version returns fuel economy of 49.6mpg, with 149 g/km of CO2 emissions and a 0-62mph time of 8.4 seconds. Figures for the DSG are 44.8 mpg, 164 g/km and 8.6 seconds.
The exterior of the Yeti Monte Carlo boasts black-tinted fog lights, bi-xenon headlights with cornering function and dynamic angle control. The additional specification includes the striking Monte Carlo signature black roof with black detailing on the front grille and spoiler, rear diffuser, door mirrors and 17-inch ‘Origami’ alloy wheels. The interior includes a three-spoke leather ‘Supersport’ multi-function steering wheel, sports seats with unique Monte Carlo upholstery and exclusive design detailing on the door sills, instrument cluster and floor mats. There are several exterior colours to choose from including black, red, white, silver and grey.
The Skoda Yeti Monte Carlo is available with a 2.0-litre TDI CR 170PS DPF diesel engine, with 4x4 transmission as standard. Customers can choose between a six-speed manual or DSG sequential automatic gearbox, priced from £24,390 and £25,490 respectively.
The Skoda Yeti lines up alongside the Fabia and the Citigo in the Monte Carlo range, over the coming months Skoda plans to continue the most comprehensive model campaign in corporate history with new models. Later this month the new ŠKODA Octavia G-TEC the first Octavia to run on natural gas will be celebrating its premiere. The new ŠKODA Octavia Scout will be released on the markets this summer. The company will also be introducing the new Skoda Octavia and the new Skoda Rapid Spaceback in China which is the brand’s largest individual market in the first of this year.
