Skoda Yeti wins award for ‘Used Car of the Year’

Successful year for ‘new’ and ‘used’ Skoda Yeti’s

The popular Skoda Yeti has been crowned ‘Best Performing Used Car of the Year’ at the Car Dealer Magazine Used Car Awards which is sponsored by Black Horse.

James Batchelor, Editor of Car Dealer said “the Skoda Yeti has been hot since it was launched with customers lining up to get their hands on one. That desirability has translated to the used car sector too with dealers reporting that examples of this car don’t hang around for long. It looks great, is built well and impressively holds onto over 67 per cent of its value after three years.”

Chris Horrell, Product Marketing Manager for Skoda UK said “we are honoured to have received the award from Car Dealer magazine. This rounds off a very successful year for new and used Yeti vehicles. Residual values have continued to remain strong. Yeti has been highly sought after as the model provides a highly attractive package for those in search of excellent value for money, practicality and long-term durability with an eye-catching design to match.”

The fantastic Yeti topped the category due to its combination of minimal depreciation and popularity amongst buyers in the second hand market. Furthermore, the spacious and stylish crossover offers motorists a low carbon footprint coupled with a high level of fuel economy, reliability and versatility.

If a brand new Yeti is on your shopping list, recently the Skoda Yeti was launched in two more variants the Town Yeti and the Off Road Yeti. Both of the new design variations feature a new front and rear, new alloy wheels and fresh up to date interiors. Both the new Yeti’s feature a distinctive front grille and redesigned headlights and available as an option for the first time Bi-Xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. The front headlights are now rectangular and are now located further under the front bumpers.  The layout of the rear includes a new form of tailgate with distinctive tail lights now in even more precise moulded C-Design, optionally available with LEDs, and, in line with the new Skoda look, two cubist triangular elements alongside the new Skoda logo. The new Yeti models have got an all-new fresh interior that includes new 3-spoke steering wheels in seven variations, new fabrics and patterns for the seat covers as well as new decorative trims on the dashboard.

Skoda has recently  enjoyed the most successful ten months in its history achieving more than 55,200 new car registrations, the manufacturer now boasts an award-winning seven car line-up, comprising the Citigo, Fabia, Rapid, Octavia, Superb, Yeti and the Roomster.
