The Skoda Yeti has won the prestigious International Green Apple Environment Award. The award was judged by members of the Midland Group of Motoring Writers who nominated their favourite contender from a shortlist of four.
The Skoda Yeti has picked up numerous awards including ‘Crossover Class’ due to its mix of great hatchback-like-on-the-road dynamics and MPV versatility from Total Off Road Magazines 4x4 of the Year Awards.
The judges of the Green Apple Environment Award said “it does everything you need a car to do and you get a lot of car for the money. This is actually that rare beast, an SUV with luggage space.”
The Skoda Yeti is available with a choice of two petrol and three diesel engines. The entry engine is a front-wheel drive, petrol engine with four cylinders and 1.2 litre capacity, which delivers an impressive 105bhp (77kW). The luggage compartment volume is highly flexible; up to 1,760 litres is available by removing the rear seats. A luggage cover and net as well as lashing rings are available to secure any load. The 4x4 variants are characterised by outstanding off-road ability and excellent traction, coupled with low emission values and fuel consumption.
