To the Batmobile, let’s go. But which is your favourite?

Film director Zack Snyder has created a social media storm after revealing this picture of the “real Batmobile” from the forthcoming movie Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. But which of the Caped Crusader’s cars do you like best?

Batman the TV Series

Batman – the TV series

The most iconic Batmobile has to be the version which appeared in the original 1960s TV show and subsequent film adaptation. It was based on a customised 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car. Hands up who had a toy version one as a kid? Some came with ejector seats and a drop-down blade for the front end.

Batman and Batman Returns

Built on the chassis of a Chevrolet Impala, the Batmobile from Tim Burton’s 1989 film Batman reflected the movie’s Art Deco styling.

Batman Forever

Batman Forever

Perhaps the most bat-like Batmobile ever was the car which ferried Batman in Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever. Cool gadgets included a grappling hook which allowed Batman to literally drive his adversaries up the wall.

Batman and Robin

The 1997 version of the Batmobile got some awesome chrome styling and a menacing blade on the front end. Certain to wipe the smile off the Joker’s face.

Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises

More armoured killing machine than camp superhero conveyance, the Batmobile from the Christopher Nolan era movies is a mean piece of kit.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Zack Snyder’s “real Batmobile” couldn’t be more different to the original. It’s definitely the most menacing. But is it the best yet?

Tell us which Batmobile is your favourite.

The real Batmobile picture from @ZackSnyder

Initially I would have said the Adam west Batmobile but, Now I like the the tumbler from Batman begins.

I'm slightly ashamed to admit that it has to be kitsch car driven by Adam West - the original and best. The new version looks very dark.
