Next months Paris Motor Show reveals three new Toyota models
The new British-built Avensis has been seen for the first time. It is clear they have given the new version a lot more edge with a raking, coupe-like roofline. The Avensis will feature new diesel and petrol engines that will be more economical and emit less co2. The Avensis promises a mix of superior quality, dynamic handling and refined ride comfort. Toyota has confirmed that active and passive safety standards are brought to an even higher level thanks to advanced safety features such as Steering-assist Vehicle Stability Control (VSC+), Adaptive Front Light System (AFS) and Pre-Crash Safety System (PCS).
The dinky iQ makes its debut it is less than 10ft long, Toyota believe that despite its size the iQ will be motorings next big thing and they are billing it as the worlds smallest premium four seater. The iQ has an ultra efficient 1litre three cylinder engine which returns more than 60mpg; it has a co2 emission figure of 99g/km. A 1.3 litre petrol-engine version will follow later in the year.
The third Toyota highlight is the premiere of the Urban Cruiser 1.4-litre D-4D diesel All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Offering lower emissions and strong economy combined with AWD performance, the Urban Cruiser represents a new form of recreation vehicle
