New Ford Ka celebrates its first birthday with a revised model line-up
The new Ford Ka celebrates its first birthday with a revised model line-up, including new Individual variants.
The individual variants replace the previous option packs based on the Zetec specification. The Ford Ka Grand Prix includes 16 inch seven spoke alloys, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust pipe and a bespoke Grand Prix interior/exterior. The Ford Ka Digital also includes 16 inch alloys and a chrome exhaust pipe with a unique Digital interior/exterior. The Ford Ka Tattoo includes the same features as the Digital with added door and tailgate handles, scruff plates and tattoo interior (cloth) and exterior. The Ford Ka Tattoo Premium combines the standard Tattoo features with a leather interior.
The revised line up continues with existing engines, the 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel. The most popular is the 1.2 litre 69PS Duratec petrol unit which has cut fuel consumption by 21 percent compared to the previous 1.3 litre Ford Ka. The Ford Ka TDCi turbodiesel has a combined fuel consumption figure of 67.2mpg, both petrol and diesel models are available with sub-120g/km c02 emissions.
The Ford Ka scored four stars for adult protection in Euro NCAP crash tests. At the heart of the vehicle is a tough bodyshell, which has been developed to provide a strong, stable crash structure to protect passengers in case of an accident.
