Wakey-wakey! The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer SE 2.0 CDTi is available via a 0% interest finance plan (representative). This ensures that paying for this small family estate is easier than sleeping through one of those evening soap operas. Furthermore, the finance terms can be tweaked to suit your financial requirements. You can, therefore, influence the size of the deposit, the monthly payments, and the length of the contract via Vauxhall's Flexible Finance Calculator. The manufacturer will also contribute £1,000 toward the deposit. If you choose not to increase this sum – and purchase the vehicle over the minimum twenty-four month period – the regular payments will be £964.59. This totals £24,150 including the manufacturer's contribution. That is list price. You could, however, make smaller instalments over any number of months up to sixty so the payments could fall to only £385.84. Plus, if you increase the deposit to (say) £5,000 in total this further shrinks the payments over sixty months to £319.17. But however you set the finance terms the total cost remains £24,150. What better reason to wake-up, ey?
Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer SE 2.0 CDTi Review
The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer SE 2.0 CDTi has strengths to wake-up even deep sleepers. These include its 500-litre cargo capacity that can be increased to 1,550-litres by folding the rear seats flat. These figures eclipse some rivals and are similar to its more expensive sibling, the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer. Plenty of room for pyjamas, then. The Astra's spacious boot complements the potent 165PS diesel engine that propels 258lb ft of torque through smooth six-speed manual transmission. The result is 0-62mph in 9.0 seconds which is fast for the class. Furthermore, this workhorse averages 60.1mpg, hits 68.8mpg on the extra-urban cycle and manages 49.6mpg in town so it has excellent fuel economy. The Astra also has confident handling so it feels sure-footed through the corners. The nicely weighted steering, comfortable ride, and properly insulated cabin make progress pleasant too. Clearly, manoeuvring this car is more relaxing than lying in bed. Standard equipment includes the electronic stability program that makes cornering safer, plus: air-conditioning, front fog lights, cruise control, automatic headlights, rain-sensing windscreen wipers and four electric windows. As such, the specification is reasonable for the money. The Astra Sports Tourer is also available with 1.3-litre, 1.4-litre, 1.6-litre and 1.7-litre engines via the Flexible Finance Calculator. And goodnight.
